Ultra-light Embroidery From Mastex
Among the latest developments in embroidery for A/W 17/18, Mastex experiments with stitching to create dynamic and graphic effects. Inspiration comes from nature, such as floral designs with a strong visual impact, but also a certain delicate touch. Another standout: clean-styled, modern designs featuring micro-geometric patterns.
Maglificio Ripa's Take on Athleisure
Italian company, Maglificio Ripa, presents a new range for its Sport collection, inspired by the athleisure trend. These lightweight, fashionable fabrics are highly breathable, yet also offer maximum coverage, making them perfect for outfits that can be worn during sports or free time. Fabrics in the Athleisure range will have their own palette of custom colors.
Tokyo by Carvico
Italy's Carvico presents Tokyo, a bonded fabric for shapewear made from a 85% polyamide / 15% elastane blend, weighing 245 g/m2. Tokyo expands on all the qualities of Carvico's bestselling Revolutional Mild fabric, in terms of strength, technique and look. It is super-comfortable, shaping the silhouette without restricting it while following the body's every move, making it perfect for stylish, high-performance shapewear that can be worn all day long.
New Themes from Chanty
For A/W 17/18, the R&D teams from German lace maker, Chanty, have come up with three complimentary themes. Inspired by nature, the softest look is Echo. Comfortable cotton yarn is used to create matt effects, while structured backgrounds provide body and texture for sophisticated lace. Most noteworthy are tattoo-effect laces knitted with pre-dyed yarns. The Scream range is high impact and exuberant. It features innovatively designed lace with surprising embroidery effects, as well as bold, contrasting colors. Finally, Dialog is designed for more functional lingerie. It is modern and dynamic, but also highly feminine. New, ultra-soft finishes are particularly well-suited for technical laces, while glossy effects are used to create movement and raised patterns.
Meteo and Microclima from Brugnoli
Italian textile maker, Brugnoli, presents two new fabrics utilizing Lycra Beauty Cooling technology, which is characterized by permanent wicking properties. Microclima is a lightweight fabric ideal for regular and sports lingerie, while Meteo, with its shaping function, is perfect for athleisure wear. For A/W 2017/18, Brugnoli is also revamping and widening its Blend Collection, featuring more than 80 proposals that play with an infinite combination of colors and effects. These items will be available in an array of different weights, for outdoor wear, as well as the increasingly popular activewear and athleisure sectors. Fabrics from the Blend range ensure high performance, combining elevated levels of support and comfort through the use of Lycra Sport technology. In 2018, there will also be new fashionable solutions featured in its swimwear collection.
M-TEC Sports’ Bra Cups by Muehlmeier
Muehlmeier introduces a new line of bra cups made from high-tech, functional materials that are designed specifically for sports lingerie. Three levels of support are available for three activity levels. M-TEC Relax is suitable for low-impact sports, such as yoga or pilates. It is made from two-way stretch foam and fabric, making it soft and breathable. For medium activity, M-TEC Active is a punched foam bra cup, which regulates temperature and perspiration with M-TEC Stay Fresh technology. It is made from two-way stretch foam and fabric, making it soft and breathable. For medium activity, M-TEC Active is a punched foam bra cup, which regulates temperature and perspiration with M-TEC Stay Fresh technology. M-TECH Sportive is ideal for high performance sports. It offers maximum levels of support, hold and softness due to One-Piece-BraCup technology and Silktouch polyester fabric. Its M-TEC Transparency Bra Cup features a next-generation spacer fabric, along with a moulding process, which guarantees maximum hold and a close-to-nude feel. M-TEC's Strong & Free Bra Cup has the same softness and natural hold of its bestselling M-TEC Real Breast Feel & Touch. An additional dose of comfort is added through the use of integrated silicone boning, which offers higher support and freedom of movement, all with a reduction in cost.
Sensitive Grace by Eurojersey
Italian textile manufacturer, Eurojersey, announces its new fabric, Sensitive Grace. Designed specifically for lingerie, it is characterized by an elegant look and sensual handle. Lightweight but high-performance, sophisticated and soft, this is the latest addition to the company's line of Sensitive Fabrics. Sensitive Grace drapes the silhouette and follows its movements, bestowing a feeling of true femininity. The fabric contains 28% Lycra and weighs just 80 g/m2; it keeps its shape and ensures maximum comfort and perfect breathability, thanks to a special honeycomb open weave, patented by Sensitive Fabrics. Certified Xtra Fine Lycra and designed for high performance, the material was specifically created for the molding and bonding of different weights; it is ideal for making lingerie that is extremely lightweight and sensual. Its unique construction enables a reduced thickness of 50%, when compared to traditional warp-knit fabrics, while offering maximum resistance to pilling, so that the garment retains its original appearance even after prolonged use. Sensitive Grace is available in a palette of ten colors, from white to black, as well as dusty pink, nude, smoky grey and teal.
Liebaert: Supplier for the 42|54 Sportswear Collection
Liebaert, the Belgian fabric manufacturer known for its vast assortment of weights and styles for lingerie, swimwear and sportswear, is now supplier of 42|54, a sophisticated line of functional activewear that can be worn anytime and everywhere, designed by two Belgian Olympic medalists – Olivia Borlée and Elodie Ouedraogo, who won silver medals at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Liebaert's technological solutions, such as Spacer fabric, shaping tulle and nanostitch – a registered trademark of high-gauge and ultra-thin textiles – give these modern, fashionable styles 4D elasticity, guaranteeing a high level of support and full freedom of movement.
Iluna Group: Innovation and Sustainability
For its A/W 17/18 collection, Italian lace manufacturer, Iluna Group, debuts its most innovative and refined ranges made with Roica Eco-Smart, the premium eco-friendly stretch yarn developed by the Japanese company, Asahi Kasei. Roica Eco Smart is certified Global Recycle Standard (GRS), and made from more than 50% industrial waste. This represents a decisive move towards sustainability for Iluna Group; their collaboration with Asahi Kasei is a further step towards the development of a collection defined by a new approach to respecting the planet and its inhabitants. In addition, there are new developments for Iluna Lab's Black Label lace collection. For the next season, the evolution of the company’s signature line, Ultralight, continues with Piuma, a complete range of artisanal-style Textronic laces characterized by a super-lightweight base, high transparency, and 3D effects. The extremely fine yarn count creates a very high-end look.
