Tessitura Colombo enters the world of sports and beachwear
After extensive research on sports and beachwear, Tessitura Colombo is introducing a new range in these segments. Their sports line uses a new yellow and fluorescent orange thread. The new beachwear line has been designed for swimsuits and matching cover-ups. Different yarns can be perfectly combined together for a 3D effect. There is also an interesting line of lace, including elastic lace, which resembles Madras fabric. For lingerie, another lace has been used to give a 'tattoo effect' and they are also expanding the Aria collection with new articles that use Lurex thread.
Maglifico Ripa launches new nanofiber fabrics
The Italian company has created a new extended fabric range made with Fulgar nanofiber. Already being used by Maglificio Ripa, for SS18 the range will include both plain fabrics and new jacquards in order to create silky and light fabrics, which are opaque and resistant. Thanks to the company's investment in four high tech machines, these materials are available in very fine gauges.
Rocle by Isabella creates bi-stretch jacquards
The new jacquard line is a bi-stretch fabric that has been created to enrich their offer of printed knitted fabrics. Designed for a high-end client base with specific demands, these new products have been created with gimped Lycra yarn. The result is an innovative fabric that is ideal for shapewear.
Macramé inspired lace by Siva
Siva is introducing its newest Textronic elastic lace, which is suitable to be used on knitwear, lingerie and ready-to-wear, and is cut semi-manually. It is ideal for enhancing necklines. Its romantic design, consistency and color have been inspired by ancient macramé embroidery. Siva have also developed a range of double dyed elastic Jacquardtonic lace. One of these laces has been created using the Siva Back technique and is a dense lace which makes a big impact. A bordonette thread is used to create a relief effect and another elegant effect is created with the use of viscose.
Mastex's new ready-to-wear patterns
Mastex has broken all of the rules for the SS18 season with their new design drawings, taken from the world of ready-to-wear. There are both modern and retro patterns and the new collection includes neat subtle patterns as well as grander guipure and braided effects. Either way Mastex has proved that it is revitalizing lingerie design.
Taubert Textil launches a new line of panties
The German specialist of warp knitted fabrics is launching a new line of panties with 'all over designs'. This fresh approach allows manufacturers to combine several materials in the same pair of panties. There are many advantages: less material is used, there is no need to find matching colors, and less stitching is required which makes them almost invisible. While the panties do have a light shapewear effect, they are more cosmetic in nature as the 'all over design' also massages the skin.
Mühlmeier's new plus size solutions
For the FW17-18 season Mühlmeier has launched two new bra cups to meet the needs of women with a full bust and slim silhouette. The Triangle Flange Bra HH40210 and the Ergonomic Support BraCup HH40113-mwW have both been created without using any heavy metal giving them a lighter, more comfortable fit and underwire free support. The Full Bust BraCup HH60291 was created specially in response to the growing demand for plus size. Thanks to its well formed construction and its composition from light and thin materials it is able to offer a natural look alongside a supportive fit without a bust enlarging effect.
Brugnoli introduces Ajouré
Brugnoli is introducing a collection of open work fabrics made from 100% cotton, with a silky touch and a brilliant shine. Available with delicate patterns, they are perfect for lingerie, homewear and accents on clothing lines. Additionally, Brugnoli has created a version of their leading swimwear fabric, Messico, especially for lingerie. The fabric, Argentina, available in new colors and shades, uses stripes to play with transparency and create an ultra feminine look. The best-selling Tenda range of fabrics now uses opaque and transparent stripes with geometric designs, shapes and patterns.
Iluna's new 100% 'green' lifestyle look
By combining both fashion and environmental elements with their technical research and their high-end design, Iluna is taking a new approach to eco-friendly innovation with their Green Label project. For SS18, they are launching new 100% eco double needle seamless articles, produced on Karl Mayer looms and ready for immediate finishing. They use different fishnets, meshes and couture lace patterns to create lingerie, which can also be worn as outerwear. The result is a collection of lingerie, bodies, and daywear, in sporty styles, which have been inspired by New York athleisure. The collection uses Roica Eco Smart premium stretch yarn with new polyamides to create a complete range made from eco-friendly materials. The legwear application is also interesting: it ranges from everyday products, made from 100% recycled mesh or jaquard, to leggings with matching tops.
Eurojersey's G.R.F. Technology
The Italian company introduces its new technology- Garments Rubber Free (G.R.F.). Thanks to the elevated elasticity of Eurojersey's Sensitive Fabrics, undergarments can be created without having to use elastic or additional accessories. Underwire, elastic, internal cups, and support wings can actually be created from the same Sensitive Sculpt fabric in order to give support or a push-up effect without sacrificing comfort or freedom of movement. Thanks to Precut printing technology the decorative elastic can be personalized directly on the Sensitive Sculpt fabric. Precut works well with all of the Sensitive Fabrics and exploits the print placement of a trim in different sizes directly on to the fabric, ready to be used in pattern cutting software for different styles of bras and panties.
Nilit's New ATS Technology
Nilit fibers have used their brand new air jet technology to create the
'Nilit Air Textured Soft' collection. The special air jet texturing
makes these nylon yarns softer and stronger than cotton, as well as more
durable with a long-lasting suppleness. The application of this new
technology to Nilit's already extensive range of yarns (such as Nilit
Aquarius designed for moisture management, Nilit Breeze for cooling and
UV protection, Nilit Heat for thermal insulation and Nilit Bodyfresh
with antimicrobial protection) enhances the performance of these
specialty yarns across their many uses in legwear, intimates, activewear
and apparel.
