Satab focuses on smart textiles

In addition to this ad hoc production, Satab has also developed its e-Narrow-Fabrics (e-NF) collection, prototypes that allow designers to access the company's technology right from the design stage of their e-textile project with a full range of conductive e-ribbons, interfaces, tools and e-braids. This worldwide access opens an enormous field of creative possibilities for the fashion sector in particular. The innovation also makes it possible for future sport and athletic collections to integrate features such as heart rate monitors, illuminated ribbons or multiple sensors for heat, humidity, or atmospheric pollution. This global achievement, which generated 4 official patents and is the first of its kind, offers a connection between the fields of textiles and electronics. More news for A/W 2019- 20: to meet the expectations of customers and engaged consumers, Satab ribbons are now woven in organic cotton and recycled polyesters and are available in neutral tones as well as shades inspired by nature. The new offering is available in grosgrain ribbons, 100% organic cotton twill taffeta or double- sided satin made of recycled polyester.
