Brugnoli celebrates 10 years of Explosive

From strengthened investments in machinery to new certifications and refreshed communications: 10 years after its birth, Explosive technology is, now more than ever, the flagship of Brugnoli's product offer and R&D policy.
With strong double-digit international growth in 2017, boosted by sustained innovation
in products and technology, in 2018 Brugnoli has strengthened its investments in new
machinery, resulting in a 20% increase in production capacity and an allocation of
spaces specifically for weaving. Here, a new division is now dedicated exclusively to the world of Explosive, the Brugnoli textile technology responsible for the most efficient and comfortable fabrics. Synonymous with high compression and coverage, this lightweight fabric feels like a second skin and, since 2018, has spearheaded the company’s offering.
A ROBUST AND COMPLETE RANGE
Today, Brugnoli offers more than 60 items featuring Explosive technology that stand out for their touch (soft and silky), their finishing (smooth, warm) and their design (solid color with a DyeToMatch custom color service or a fancy jacquard). The technology also applies to fabrics made with organic polyamides and the sustainable production process known as Br4 by Brugnoli, containing recycled polyamide, FIR technology, resistance to chlorine, salt, sunlight and sunscreens as well as a Jeans Attitude version (don’t miss our article on Jeans Attitude in the R&D section).
THE NEW LYCRA SPORT PCETM CERTIFICATION
Certified by Lycra for sport, lingerie, swim and as a support fabric for the creation of destructured bras, Explosive technology recently acquired the Lycra Sport PCETM certification (Power, Comfort, Energy) based on Lycra’s evaluation index that gauges three fundamental parameters: power of compression, comfort and energy. This evaluation process results in an official "fabric identity card" which informs garment makers of the best use for the fabric based on the activity for which it is intended. According to this system, the certification analysis has positioned Explosive technology fabrics at top levels in both stretch directions with the following scores: 9/10 for compression power (also ideal for active sports like running, cycling or triathlons); 9 for comfort (the fabric follows the body in all movement and expression without constricting, which makes it well-suited to extension sports like yoga); 2 for the energy level required to perform the movement (perfect for both training and competition). These scores happily coincided with Explosive’s 10th anniversary and to celebrate the occasion, Brugnoli has created for its star fabric a brand new communication kit: new visuals, a new slogan, a new video and, to support its customers, a new hangtag for garments.
